  My aim is not to explain the 70 weeks but to introduce a list of prophesies that have been given a different interpretation from that of The Watchtower's .The list will be in a similar format to the one presented here http://new-jw.org/index/

  These prophesy interpratations will be taken from posts in this website that have been considered in the past and from other "apostate" websites

  Also what do you think is a top 10 list of prophesies need reconsidering and why ?

A true Christian who is faithful and discreet should never attempt to cross this line .The word of God provides with guidelines on how to treat prophesy .Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:20 warns us "Do not treat prophesyings with contempt."

  Instead we should look at the prophetic Word as a "lamp shining in a dark place" as (2 Peter 1:19-21) reads : "Consequently we have the prophetic word [made] more sure; and YOU are doing well in paying attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until day dawns and a daystar rises, in YOUR hearts. 20 For YOU know this first, that no prophecy of Scripture springs from any private interpretation. 21 For prophecy was at no time brought by man's will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit."

  The way the leadership of Jehovah's Witnesses has always tried to interpret prophesy and then tried to impose this interpretation to it's members is truly remarkable and shows lack of discretion and haughtiness that has always displayed .On the other hand ,faithful men of the Bible treated prophesy as an opportunity to seek Jehovah's direction and no matter their interpretation never imposed it upon their brothers .Remember Daniel's example when he finally understood the prophesy of the "70 weeks" .In Daniel 9:2 we read that Daniel discerned the true meaning of Jeremiah's prophesy of the 70 weeks:" in the first year of his reigning I myself, Daniel, discerned by the books the number of the years concerning which the word of Jehovah had occurred to Jeremiah the prophet, for fulfilling the devastations of Jerusalem, [namely,] seventy years." So he proceeded to pray and entreat Jehovah and pray on the behalf of his brothers :" And I proceeded to set my face to Jehovah the [true] God, in order to seek [him] with prayer and with entreaties, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes."(Daniel 9:4)

  Please treat the interpretation of the prophesies below in the same manner ..."

  My chat with 2 Dubs yesterday about UN membership

  i live close to a resonanbly busy street, 20 odd shops banks, a train station,a couple of cafes and coffee shops etc and usually see dubs doing street work close to the station and i'm now on nodding terms with an elder who is out most days of the week and have got close to recognizing most of the hard core of about a dozen of them , i was walking out of the cafe yesterday to be greeted by a couple of newbies i'd never seen before , a scruffy short dumpy man and a fairly well presented middle aged lady, i'll try and abridge the conversation as best as i can, we must have chatted for about 15 minutes and it was all in a good mannered style;.

  me " have you sold many of those this morning ?".

  jw guy " oh no we dont sell them we give them away for free" (like i didn't know that).

  Justlookingfor now you might want to consider the following statement from the Revelation book that leaves no room for respect or minimal partcipation:

  "The UN does not have the answers. And why? Because the Giver of life to all mankind is not the UN's life-giver. Its life span will be short, for according to God's decree, "it is to go off into destruction." The UN's founders and admirers do not have their names recorded in God's scroll of life. How could sinful, mortal men, many of whom mock God's name, achieve through the UN what Jehovah God has declared he is about to accomplish, not by human means, but through the Kingdom of his Christ?-Daniel 7:27; Revelation 11:15.

  9 The UN is actually a blasphemous counterfeit of God's Messianic Kingdom by his Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ-to whose princely rule there will be no end. (Isaiah 9:6, 7) Even if the UN were to patch up some temporary peace, wars would soon erupt again. This is in the nature of sinful men. "Their names have not been written upon the scroll of life from the founding of the world." Jehovah's Kingdom by Christ will not only establish eternal peace on earth but, on the basis of Jesus' ransom sacrifice, raise the dead, the righteous and the unrighteous who are in God's memory. (John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15) This includes everyone who has remained steadfast despite the attacks of Satan and his seed, and others who have yet to show themselves obedient. Obviously, God's scroll of life will never contain the names of die-hard adherents of Babylon the Great or of any who continued to worship the wild beast.-Exodus 32:33; Psalm 86:8-10; John 17:3; Revelation 16:2; 17:5."

Blame shifting may therefore temporarily relieve a person of accountability, but it will only succeed in sanctioning a person's actions so long as their position is given greater exposure over that of their (former) religious fraternity. Thus, the importance placed upon maintaining a heightened level of awareness toward the apostate's unique view works to reinforce the reasons for their departure by maintaining the consequences of blame and continuing to? scrutinize it in the object of hostility. It is not difficult to see then why an apostate so adamantly rejects information that contradicts the typecast that they have worked so hard to establish. All who cut loose from the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society and its work, instead of prospering themselves or up-building others in the faith and in the graces of the spirit, seemingly do the reverse-attempt injury to the Cause they once served, and, with more or less noise, gradually sink into oblivion, harming only themselves and others possessed of a similarly contentious spirit. . . . If some think that they can get as good or better provender at other tables, or that they can produce as good or better themselves-let these take their course. . . . But while we are willing that others should go anywhere and everywhere to find food and light to their satisfaction, strange to say, those who become our opponents take a very different course. Instead of saying in the manly fashion of the world, 'I have found something which I prefer; goodbye!' these manifest anger, malice, hatred, strife, 'works of the flesh and of the devil' such as we have never known worldly people to exhibit.   Many thanks for your comment .The way I see it is this : Jehovah has given me and you a mind to use ,he expects nothing less than a "worship based in reason" .If you don't like any of the ever changing doctrines of the GB ,you will be dragged in a judicial committee ,branded an apostate and then disfellowshiped .Then with the power of false love and suggestion they will turn your family against you as you are now an evil apostate .On the other hand Jesus tolerated different views and when many of his followers couldn't understand him he let them go ,didn't shun them ,didn't instruct thei families to avoid them .Stop worshiping and idol ,these men are anointed because they say so ,no proof what so ever .When Jehovah instructed Moses to go to the Israelites in his name ,Moses asked the obvious :" However, Moses in answering said: "But suppose they do not believe me and do not listen to my voice, because they are going to say, 'Jehovah did not appear to you.'" 2 Then Jehovah gave him signs to perform " They are no gods ,I didn't elect them ,Jesus never chose them and I'm against them .If that makes an apostate so be it .Last thing : An apostate will allow comments in his channel such as this one ,on the other hand you being indoctrinated and in fear that someone might burst your bubble have the comments turned off.Wake up brother ,Jehovah doesn't need mindless followers ONLY thinking humans .I hope you find the truth one day ,I really do .Christian love ,Raymond...

  i can understand why they think the end is near.. in the old days, one was proud to be a jw (well maybe.

  not for you young ones) but for us that came in the 60,s.

  and 70,s, we felt no shame in our game.
